The Journey of Life
Let me take you through the journey of life,
Driving the train as if you are taking a stride,
There are a lot of passengers, who crawl in and go,
But there are some, who stay with you and face the blow.
Some are like your parents, who board the train forever,
Some are those friends, who leave and return never,
Some are those who stick for gains,
And as soon as you lose they jump out of the train,
But you’ll also find some, who you can’t restrain,
They’ll come into your life and fiddle with your brain.
Finally, there would be some, who would share your compartment,
You lend them your heart and make home out of that apartment,
The stride will go on; the years would pass by,
The time clock will tick away and moments would fly,
Special moments, lively moments and moments of dismay,
Some things will come close to you and others would remain at bay
You’ll laugh in some, you’ll cry in some,
You’ll flirt in some; you’ll fight in some,
You’ll grow in some; you’ll die in some,
The only thing that would change is the pace of life’s momentum.
Your train would stop at red lights and go roaring high at green,
First class would be always good but sleeper might not be that clean,
In every class, you will meet new people; all may not feel what you feel,
Don’t push too hard, don’t overdo yourself, just try and share your meal.
The odyssey of life would continue forever, till someone pulls the brake,
It’s not a bed of roses or thorns, nor is it a piece of cake,
It’s a simple process of learning to drive, where you are bound to make mistakes,
Just believe in yourself and make a shot, because you have just one chance to take -2
